Meet the Deep Fusion Films team

Benjamin Field
Executive Producer

  • Award-winning Producer/Director, AI specialist & policy writer, Benjamin first encountered Jamie Anderson at a disappointing and unnecessarily expensive curry in Cannes back in 2018. 3 years later they started working together, producing the feature documentary 'Gerry Anderson: A Life Uncharted' for Britbox UK. Deep Fusion Films was the culmination of a further 2 years of friendship during which time Jamie sold Benjamin a puppy and, perhaps more successfully, introduced him to now Deep Fusion Films MD, Andrew Keats.

Away from film-work Benjamin enjoys 'prancing about on-stage' and singing, occasionally in tune.

Jamie Anderson
Executive Producer

  • Jamie Anderson is a producer, writer, and co-founder of Deep Fusion Films, a company where he’s able to combine a love for cutting-edge technology (hello, AI!) with finding and telling deeply human stories. Jamie’s journey into the world of unscripted content began in a curry house in Cannes, where he met fellow storyteller and future partner-in-crime, Ben Field. A couple of years after that initial naan and curry, the two struck up a working relationship and friendship which soon turned into a creative partnership that would ultimately lead to the founding of Deep Fusion Films.

The real turning point came while making Gerry Anderson: A Life Uncharted – an emotional and personal documentary about his father, which he and Ben crafted together. It was during this project that Jamie realised the two of them had hit on something special: a shared passion for pushing boundaries in filmmaking while keeping the heart of the story front and centre.

Deep Fusion Films was born out of their desire to keep that momentum going and to explore new ways of telling great stories, all while embracing the latest technologies in a way that actually makes sense (no buzzword chasing here!). The final unlock to this plan was introducing Jamie’s long-time friend and former rowing partner, Andrew Keats, into the mix. The three bold baldies then founded Deep Fusion in 2023.

Alongside all this, Jamie keeps busy breathing new life into the Gerry Anderson legacy through Anderson Entertainment, helping to build and extend the legacy of classic shows like Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet for modern audiences. But let’s be honest: while that's all cool and part of who he is, Jamie’s real passion lies in creating something new and exciting.

At Deep Fusion Films, Jamie and Ben are continuing their mission to make content that’s not only innovative but also meaningful. Whether it’s diving into the world of AI or just figuring out how to tell the next great story, Jamie’s always ready to roll up his sleeves, have a laugh, and see where the adventure takes him next.

Niki Page
Commercial & Partnerships SVP

  • Niki joined the Deep Fusion Films team as a commercial and partnerships consultant and has since become a full-time member of the team.  She negotiates with broadcasters, distributors, talent and other creative partners on behalf of Deep Fusion as well as bringing in new opportunities and partnerships.

After a career of working at large media organisations and distributors including Channel 4, Fremantle, Sky Vision and Red Arrow Studios, Niki is enjoying being part of a creative, innovative and rapidly growing production company.  Her previous work across a wide range of non-scripted genres and maximising their commercial potential is something that brings value to the Deep Fusion team.

Andrew Keats
Managing Director

  • Serial entrepreneur Andrew Keats first met Jamie Anderson they trialled together for rowing at the University of Oxford, becoming fast friends & flatmates – then eventually business partners.  Andrew’s career spanning across consultancy, mining, and cleantech startups, through to restaurants, investing, and e-commerce before sponsoring Deep Fusion Films has kept him both extremely busy as well as frequently perplexed.  Having been impressed by “Gerry Anderson: A Life Uncharted” – Andrew was convinced the duo were onto something and incessantly pestered Jamie to introduce him to Ben Fields.  And as they say in show business, “the rest is history.”

In his spare time, Andrew is fond of a good braai, exotic travel, and long-distance running.  A voracious reader, he also enjoys family hygge.

Christian Darkin
Head of Creative Artificial Intelligence

  • Christian Darkin has been creating digital video effects for the last 25 years as the head of Anachronistic Animation, producing a wide range of work for TV and film.  He was the head animator on the first series of the BBC’s broadcast nominated show, Magic Hands, and the head of VFX on Raindance nominated Sci-Fi feature, The Quiet Hour.

Christian learned coding on the 1K ZX81 and since artificial intelligence became a thing, he’s been emersed in finding new ways to use it in production and beyond.  He’s worked extensively with Large language models, image and video creation pipelines, deepfake technology and audio AIs developing and coding novel ways to combine new technologies, and even training his own custom models from scratch.

He created the deepfakes for Gerry Anderson, A Life Uncharted, and works with other production companies on their approach to using the new technology in an ethical way in a range of shows.  He’s also part of Reading University’s Synthetic Media Research Group.

In his other creative work, Christian has written 14 books - ranging from textbooks for After Effects through to young adult novels and the bestselling “Act Normal” series of children’s chapter books.  He regularly visits schools to talk about writing, animation and AI.

Thea Harris-Murphy
Production Assistant

  • Thea's journey into production started unexpectedly in 2021, when she jumped into the role of production assistant on the documentary Gerry Anderson: A Life Uncharted—at a time when working in production was nowhere on her radar!

Since that leap, she has dived headfirst into every opportunity, expanding her skills as a Camera Assistant, Camera Operator, and most recently, stepping up as an Assistant Producer. She passionately credits her rapid growth to the amazing DFF Team and the talented production crews who have been by her side and looks forward to whatever the future may bring!
